Although our search for a Gold Wedding plan has ended, for our Golden Couple the preparations and planning of their big day has only begun!

To start, here’s Grainne & Matthews reaction to the winning plan.

‘First of all we would like to thank all of the planners for their amazing efforts they’ve put into the Wedding Plans. It has been a fabulous journey for us so far, and we cannot highlight how much we care for the amount of work every one of the planners have done to create such magnificent projects.’

About their choice

‘Each of the plans were great and we honestly can’t tell how difficult it was to choose only one, but in the end we chose Lindsay Moynaghs ‘Old Style Carnival’ theme as Gold Wedding Plan as it was something different, out of the ordinary and unique.’

Old Style Carnival

‘So far we have seen that the chosen plan is traditional, but also has this fun element. That’s why we think it’s perfect and will suit entirely our desires.

We have both been to plenty of weddings and they would all be fairly similar and we thought this would just make our wedding stand out. Also it would bring an element of fun to the day. Carnival is a bit different in our eyes and it seems that the theme represents a ‘touch’ of carnival rather than the whole content of the plan being entirely determined by it. After all, you can buy into the theme as little or as much as you want, and that’s exactly what we hope to do.’
