Advertisers can target customers based on location and offer deals at certain times of the day. Users receive ‘Push’ (on screen message) notifications when they are close to a deal (eg .5 km from a coffee shop running a deal) or they can view all deals throughout the goldenpages.ie app.

Users can alter their deals settings should they wish to and always have the option to switch deals off should they not wish to receive them.

Last week we delivered 172 toys to the distribution depot on Mountjoy Square where the toys will sorted into age ranges and then matched with wish lists received from children and families across the country.

We are delighted to announce that goldenpages.ie is an official Drop off Point for the RTE 2fm/SuperValue Toy Appeal for St. Vincent De Paul this Christmas 2011.

All toys donated will be given to children who may not otherwise receive one this Christmas so it’s a fantastic appeal to get behind and support and we are so excited to do so that we have decorated early and have our very own Toy Room which we hope you will help us fill up with TOYS in time for Christmas!

Nobody leaves goldenpages.ie empty handed either – for every toy donated we will be giving a lolly out in return so come, give and receive here at goldenpages.ie!

The toy must be new, unwrapped and books and vouchers are great ideas. The best advice is to donate what you would like for yourself/family.

The goldenpages.ie AR game is a secret game which can be unlocked by following the simple AR instructions here.

The game

The purpose of the goldenpages.ie game is to pop the balloons which fly up on your phone screen and release the great coupons contained inside.

Game navigation

1-The AR button will open the AR reader.

2-Aim the phone at the front cover of The goldenpages.ie Print Directory.

3-The book will trigger the AR game, this may take a few seconds to load, you will see a wait wheel spinning, this means it’s working!

4- When the AR button appears please press it and wait for the game to load.

5- Once the game loads you will see a champagne bottle in the corner, if you press this bottle a champagne cork will pop!

6- By aiming at a balloon and popping – you could win one of our great offers!

7- Simply click on the coupon to be brought through to a redemption page.

8-By clicking on the X button you will be brought back into the game.

9- By clicking on the << button you can start again

10- Clicking close will being you back into the goldenpages.ie app
