Question #1: What is the Individual Supply Grant?
The individual supply grant is a grant scheme designed to offset the cost of drilling a well, installing water pumps and flirtation equipment for private water supplies.
Question #2: What criteria needs to be met in order to qualify for the grant?
To be eligible to qualify for this grant, the property must be more than 7 years old. And it must not be connected to a public water scheme or a group water scheme. Only one grant is allowed per house over a 10 year period.
Furthermore, the proposed water supply work must cost over €635. Also, your local authority must carry out an inspection before any work starts.
Question #3: How much is the grant worth?
The individual supply grant is worth up to €2,031.58 or 75% of the cost of the work, whatever is lesser.
